CASTROL AIRCOL LPT 68
The Castrol Aircol™ LPT Range (previously called Energol™ LPT) are refrigeration compressor lubricants formulated from highly refined naphthenic base oils for use in both large and industrial and small domestic refrigeration units.
Application
The Aircol LPT range is formulated to function as lubricants and coolants, as well as sealants in refrigerating compressors.
They maintain good lubrication properties at the high temperatures reached during the compression phase and good fluidity at the low temperatures within the evaporators. Excellent lubrication of the moving parts in the compressor as well as recycling of the oil, entrained into the system by the refrigerant, are therefore ensured.
The chemical stability of the Aircol LPT oils prevents them from reacting with the refrigerants used in refrigeration systems to form potentially disruptive breakdown products. All Aircol LPT grades are suitable for use in systems using Ammonia (NH3) or halogenated hydrocarbons. They can also be used where good low temperature flow properties are required in the lubricant.
Advantages
-The Aircol LPT Range oils ensure long and trouble-free operation of refrigeration systems through a combination of:
-High thermal and chemical stability.
-Good temperature / viscosity behaviour.
-Good low temperature flow properties.

-, COMPRESSOR OIL
Castrol Aircol PD 100
Description
Castrol Aircol™ PD oils are a range of compressor lubricants, based upon highly refined mineral oils, which are intended
for the lubrication of both reciprocating and rotary air compressors.
Application
Aircol PD grades are ashless oils recommended for the lubrication of rotors, bearings and gears in rotary compressors,
especially the oil flooded screw type with lubricant drain cycles of up to 2000 hours under normal use. Normal use in
screw type compressors is defined by a maximum air discharge temperature =/< 100°C as defined by ISO 6743-3:2003.SKU: CAS-IND-0016 -

Castrol Aircol SN 100
Castrol Aircol™ SN 100 compressor lubricant is high quality synthetic diester.
Application
Castrol Aircol SN 100 is a compressor lubricant developed to cope with the severe operating conditions experienced in rotary screw, rotary vane and reciprocating air compressors operating at high compression ratios and high discharge temperatures. Under these conditions Aircol SN 100 offers much reduced carbon forming tendencies and extended oil life when compared to mineral oils due to the much higher oxidation resistance. In reciprocating units, Aircol SN 100 has up to eight times the service life of mineral oils.

-, INDUSTRIAL GEAR OIL
Castrol Alpha SP 150
The Castrol Alpha™ SP gear oil range of high quality lubricants are based upon highly refined mineral oil, enhanced with an extreme pressure additive technology providing good thermal stability and high load carrying capacity. The extreme pressure additive system not only provides high load carrying capacity, but was designed to provide microscopic wear protection. Microscopic wear protection, also known as micropitting protection, is critical in preventing destructive wear at the micro level therefore extending gear life and meeting the evolving demands of smaller and higher output gear boxes.
Application
The Alpha™ SP range is recommended for the lubrication of industrial gear boxes using forced circulation or splash and oil bath lubrication. They may be used for the lubrication of spur and helical gears and in some lightly loaded worm type gear applications. They have very good viscosity characteristics to ensure starting torques are not excessively high in cold operating conditions. The additives are compatible with the ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in industrial gear units. The Alpha™ SP range is compatible with the most common types of seal materials.
